Estimating project costs

Project costs vary depending on the size and complexity of the project, the technical resources required, and upon the selected delivery medium (hardcopy, online, web). For example, on average, you can expect costs such as the following:

  • A hard copy manual (for print) such as an installation or user guide, of about 150 pages, and that requires 5-7 man-weeks to complete, can cost between $12,000 and $15,000 (Canadian).

  • An HTML online help system, context sensitive at the dialog box level, with about 100 topics, that requires 7-9 weeks to complete, can cost between $17,000 to 20,000 (Canadian).

Note: These are average values. Each project is unique, and may cost less or cost more.

Actual project costs are estimated during our Design and Analysis phase, during which we generate our time and cost estimates for your specific project requirements.
